She cherished simple moments—spending time with her sisters, playing with friends, and sharing a special bond with her beloved dog, Teddy.

Marissa is lovingly remembered by her family, including her mother, Jenna (Dane) Uarich; her sisters, Leah Carstensen and Berkly Uarich; and her grandparents, Jim and Joan Carstensen of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Pam Britten of Elkhorn.
She is also survived by her uncles Brian (Amanda) Britten and their children Abigail and Allison; Chad (Lisa) Carstensen and their children Emily, Henry, and Myles; and Craig (Becca) Carstensen and their children Breckyn, Casen, and Kyler.
Marissa leaves behind her dear friends Lily, Annabelle, Kinley, and Elise, along with her cherished dog Teddy, who was a constant companion and source of comfort.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kevin Carstensen; her grandfather Roger Britten; her grandparents Deb and Steve Uarich; and her beloved aunt, Bootsie.

Memorial and Services
Family and friends gathered to celebrate Marissa’s life at a Celebration of Life Service held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Relevant Center. Visitation took place one hour prior, allowing loved ones to come together in remembrance and support.
Following the service, inurnment was held at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
In honor of Marissa’s memory, attendees were encouraged to wear shades of blue—a reflection of her spirit and the light she brought into the world.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for later designation.
